Port Macquarie Hastings Legacy enjoys excellent financial support provided through the hard working efforts of:

  • One Torchies for Port Macquarie Hastings Legacy Group, in Laurieton.
  • An Op Shop in Wauchope – managed by Volunteers from the Wauchope, Laurieton and Port Macquarie areas, some are Legacy widows.
  • Junior Legacy - unique to Port Macquarie Hastings Legacy
  • Friends of Legacy

Junior Legacy is another organisation with a long and proud history.

Junior Legacy which is unique to Port Macquarie, was started in 1964 by a group of young men who got together and decided to raise money for Legacy. Junior Legacy has contributed very significantly to the financial needs of Port Macquarie Hastings Legacy over their 44 year history.

As well as raising money for Legacy, Junior Legacy carries out activities such as catering for the Annual Widows Christmas party at Port Macquarie Panthers and Wauchope RSL Club (also assisted by Vietnam Veterans, Legatees and Legacy Staff)

Just like the Torchbearer groups, Junior Legacy members are always keen to welcome new members and ideas for their fundraising efforts and social connections.  If you would like to find out more about this group please contact the Legacy Office.

The Op Shop in Wauchope can be found on Cameron St, opposite Wauchope RSL Club. The Op Shop are always keen for new volunteers, and donations of unwanted clothing, books and other goods.
